Sayaka brushed off her WOW RUDE comment before going to pick up the cordless phone, punching in Kyosuke's number and waiting anxiously through the rings for him to pick up. At about the third or fourth ring, a.k.a. what seemed like ten years, she was about to hang up, "Huh...maybe he isn't home, then..."

Kyosuke Kamijo set down a book he was reading and casually walked across the room to pick up the phone that broke the silence. "Hello?"

In truth, Sayaka's heart skipped a beat at the familiar voice and she went to grab the phone with her other hand, trembling slightly from excitement, "Ah, Kyosu--er...Kamijo-kun..." she laughed a bit nervously - she never really knew how she should address him. They may have been childhood friends, but she didn't want him to feel uncomfortable either, "I was..wondering! Um..were you free? I have another friend over and we're playing games...I thought you might like to come over and hang out?"
Her cheeks felt like they were on fire at this point.

"Oh, Sayaka! Hello," Kamijo overlooked her stumbling with his name as she proceeded to invite him to her house. He appreciated the gesture, gladly accepting the invite. "Sure,I have time now, thanks. Would you like me to bring anything?"
He was really happy to be getting out of his house.

"Oh no, no! Just bring yourself, we have everything we need here. N-Not that I'm not saying you can't bring anything! Haha just...anything that will keep you occupied should shooting Kyouko to death get too boring."
Man she sounded so stupid.
"Ah..yeah just...I'll see you in a bit then!" She didn't even wait for a proper goodbye, clicking the "End" button on the phone and hitting the phone against her head, "Stupid...I'm so stupid, I swear." She went over to Kyouko once more, the phone still clutched firmly in her hand as if letting it go might be her death sentence.

"Oh, okay. I'll be on my... way," Ah, she hung up. He stood staring at his phone for a few seconds. What was that about shooting someone to death?
Smiling to himself, he set the phone down, slipped his shoes on, and set off for Sayaka's house.

The look Kyouko was giving Sayaka was less then friendly.
"You're such a loser," she comments, disgust in her voice. Childishly, she crosses her arms and lets out an aggravated noise. "Was I not enough to hand out with or something? Geez, plus you couldn't even talk to that guy on the phone. You're probably going to be real lame in person." |
